From the architectThe recreational floor is located on the 7th floor of the hospital. It's divided into three spaces: a multipurpose room that can be used as an indoor play area as well as a study area, and two outdoor terraces on either side of the room. These spaces are meant to make the hospital stay of children more enjoyable and comfortable.

The project was started by the Juegaterapia Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on donating fun places for sick children to play and have fun. They've found that happiness and a happy mood are very important in helping children recover from cancer, and they want to create a real positive impact in the recovery process by providing children with play and fun.

The motivation for this project is to create a beautiful space where children can enjoy great views of both the sea and the mountains. We chose the 7th floor of the building as our inspiration, because the terraces there have great views of both the Mountains of Málaga on the north and the Sea on the south. So, we named the project "Enchanted Valley" and plan to create two different spaces on the terraces, one with a forest-like theme and the other with a seaside setting.

We decided to cover the vertical columns on the outdoor terraces to turn them into trees in our magical forest. This freed up the largest possible horizontal surface for games and floor graphics. The exterior horizontal surfaces are decorated to look like the natural environment, with small flowers and plants growing on the North terrace and algae and waves emerging on the South terrace. This makes the terraces into seats and play objects for children to interact with each other.

The indoor space is like an extension of the north and south terraces, using the pavement to connect the two. The space is divided into two parts - the interior and the exterior - and the center is a area with wood textures and earthy colors, which is designed to link the two terraces and the outdoors. There are different areas for leisure on the north and south sides of the space, using different colors and patterns.

Altogether, the Enchanted Valley will be a new type of leisure and entertainment area for children in hospitals. It will be one of the most important parts of the hospital's recovery plan, and it will help children recover quickly.
